JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the purpose/s of
participating in the receipt and shipment of goods; maintaining
required inventory levels; ensuring specifications, quantity and
quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses;
maintaining an organized warehouse layout.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventative maintenance on forklift & other machinery.
- Loads and unloads delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving
stock and/or filling orders for transport, packing, labeling
shipping & receiving.
- Prepares orders by either pulling from stock for the purpose of
meeting delivery requirements.
- Operate within standard operating procedures and Job Safety.
- Responsible for Quality control, that no damaged product is sent
out. No damaged raw material is accepted in.
- Participates physical inventories for the purpose of verifying
stock and identifying losses.
- Move, Load and sort freight by hand or dolly prior to shipment.
- Stage & package finished product for loading/shipping.
- Responsible for unloading freight and ensuring bill of lading is
correctly reflected.
- Responsible for loading freight per purchase order product, weight
& shipping instructions.
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Cleans warehouse for the purpose of maintaining a safe and
sanitary work area.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of
ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Ability to learn and operate company equipment’s.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
*3-6 Months previous Warehouse Experience
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Knowledge of product and warehouse process.
* Must have good command of the English language, both written and spoken
* Process oriented and ability to contribute to continuous improvement.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must be able to read and interpret instructions, follow procedures,
use simple math and use basic handheld measuring tools.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalency
