Job Description:

The candidate should have a strong knowledge of MRP systems, computers systems and inventory management. A minimum of three years of progressive experience in a manufacturing facility is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both oral and written) are also required as is the ability to interact with customers in a diplomatic fashion to resolve issues as needed. Excellent time management skills is key and candidate must be a change agent, able to adapt to a dynamic environment and approach changes/opportunities with a positive, open attitude. Candidate must exhibit an ability to work with employees, coworkers, and managers professionally at all levels of the organization. Strong reasoning skills, the ability to analyze issues, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is also required.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Receive manufacturing orders and input them into the MRP system.
  2. Review customer purchase orders and applicable terms.
  3. Work directly with customers to ensure raw materials are available for production runs in a timely fashion.
  4. Create bills of materials within the MRP system.
  5. Work with production and quality personnel to ensure all product formulas and inspection plans are received from customers prior to production runs.
  6. Issue inventory in MRP system, completing all necessary transactions for each customer account.
  7. Perform consumption of materials within the MRP system as required.
  8. Bill and invoice customer orders as applicable.
  9. Calculate production yields.
  10. Construct and send daily/monthly production reports as required.
  11. Utilize customer MRP systems (such as SAP) as applicable.
  12. Complete customer physical inventories.
  13. Maintain all aspects of customer inventories, communicating data to customers as required.
  14. Complete applicable filing for customer accounts.
  15. Compile consumption report data.
  16. Complete cycle counts.
  17. Assist the warehouse supervisor as needed to Coordinate shipment needs for customers
  18. Attend and participate in all necessary customer meetings, audits, conference calls, etc.
  19. Maintain open communication with customers as applicable to ensure the timely flow of information is relayed (i.e. scheduling, inventory needs, etc.).
  20. Complete all other tasks as required by manager.

Experience and Skills:

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-5 yrs experience with customer service/inventory coordination
  • Experienced with MS Excel
  • ERP/ SAP Experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
  • Good judgement and the demonstrated ability to interact with hourly employees, co-workers and managers at all levels of the organization
  • Strong reasoning skills and ability to analyze problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
